I bought this filter because it was time to replace mine. Instructions are written on the outside of the packaging and are very easy to use. The instructions say to soak the filter for 30 minutes, but I soaked the filter for about an hour. I put the filter in a bowl of water, do other chores, and just get distracted. Rschunimagu. When I got back to changing the filter I took it out and rinsed it for 30 seconds like the instructions said and put the filter back in my Keurig 2.0 coffee maker. I've never had black stuff in the bowl or when rinsing the filter. I even squeezed the filter a bit to make sure nothing black came out. It fit perfectly in the filter holder and the coffee I made right after changing the filter was delicious. I also looked at my old filter that came with the coffee maker and the one I put next to it. I couldn't tell any difference so they seem to be well made.
