Ease of installation. Time will tell if it holds up.

A few years ago we had a stray (and attention-hungry) cat who broke our patio umbrella. After much hesitation, I decided it was time to fix it. Looking through videos on YouTube I found all sorts of descriptions of how to do this. None of them are too difficult, so I decided to give this product a try. Installing the screen was very easy, just remove the handle (keep it), the old screen and the slots (throw them away, the new screen and slots are included). . Center the screen over the door and press the slot into the groove in small successive movements. Make sure the screen is tight, but leave some slack or it may break. The hardest part (and it wasn't difficult) was putting the installed door back into the frame: some door frames have a small "track" in the middle. the path along which the rollers will run. If this is your case and it's only on the top or bottom rail, put it in first. Tilt the assembled door and insert it into the track. Then put the door in the vertical position and use a flat screwdriver to press the rollers on the other side into the door so that it can be locked. Some people complain about the tool and accidents when repairing their screens. I found the tool perfectly adequate for the job and would recommend short strokes when installing the wedge. A sharp cardboard cutter makes a world of difference when trimming excess screen and I recommend it.
