Review on 💾 Seagate 500GB SSHD Sata 6Gb/s 2.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST500LM000) - Enhanced Gaming Performance with 8GB NAND by Rick Pickering

Bought the CD in February 2016 and it was amazing at first. However, I noticed slowdowns on my computer. It never occurred to me that it could be this disc. Towards the end of October, Photoshop started up in about 5 minutes (on an 8-core processor and 32 gigabytes of RAM running Windows 10). Defragmentation did not help. Programs cached on drive C or containing temporary windows files started to hang and crash. I have several 5TB and 6TB SATA drives in my system and the transfer speeds between these drives are over 70Mbps, but the transfer speed from this drive to one of the others is now barely 3Mbps. Carbonite, Backblaze, Plex and many other apps crash. Running Chkdsk on this drive will lock the computer. I'm about to order a Hitachi SATA6 7200 RPM 2TB to replace this thing. With the replacement I get from Seagate in my laptop (my drive is aging there), but from now on I'll stick with fully spinning drives (no hybrids and no SSDs) on my desktop.
