So far I'm quite happy with this vacuum cleaner. I already have a Dyson and a Shark. I feel like vacuum cleaners are one of those things that are always needed. I know it has been many years since I had a Bissell vacuum. I would say I like it less than my Dyson and Shark. I find the suction power to be medium to good, but not as good as with my Shark. There are a few differentiators that differ from my Shark and Dyson. I like the on/off switch on the vacuum cleaner itself. There is also a button to turn the brushes on and off. I think it gives me more control over the settings and it's easier to use while cleaning. The vacuum leans much better than my Dyson. It also looks better than my Dyson. My Dyson really needs to be put into park mode to keep it from falling over. This bissell makes a slight click when going into an upright or folded position. I like it. The release button is large and comfortable. It immediately releases a feature better than my Shark and Dyson. I also like the large clip that secures the hose to the back of the vacuum. The button to open the tank is more intuitive than on my Shark and Dyson. It is a quick release and releases instantly. You can empty the canister from both the bottom and the top where the filter is located. Sometimes things get stuck in the filter so I have to empty the lid as well. The canister easily snaps back onto the base. The size is on the small to medium range compared to my other vacuums. I'm happy with the overall performance, but the suction power just doesn't compare to my Shark or Dyson. In places where the Shark or Dyson are getting something for the first time, I might have to go over the item on the floor with Bissell two or three times to make sure it's all vacuumed. The suction power seems too average and nowhere near excellent. I have to make vacuuming less time consuming because I have to keep walking in the same spot. Light pollution and households with low tracking are suitable for this vacuum cleaner.
