Just to be transparent I got this device for free in exchange for a review. However, I've been impressed with Inkbird products in the past, so I decided to give it a try. We definitely need a new flesh probe. The temperature seems accurate. I set it to medium steak (130F) and the steak was actually cooked to medium. There was no noticeable delay between the probe and the application. The temperature will be read fairly quickly when you insert the probe. It has some useful features like a timer so you can remind yourself when to flip burgers or whatever. The only thing that annoys me (which can be fixed) is that if you disable it manually, the sensor turns itself off by default. trigger a loud/annoying alarm on your phone within a few seconds. I fixed it by turning off the shutdown signal. I have also mentioned this to the Inkbird rep and hope they do something about it. All in all, this is a reliable product. I've had it not long ago, but it's worked great for a few dishes I've made with it. In terms of shelf life I trust their products - I also have a sous vide machine from them that has worked fantastic for 8 months and cooks with it almost every day.
