We just bought a new house, and the kitchen sink had damage to the wood underneath from an old leak. I've scrubbed it and couldn't get it to look any better. Not that anyone is really looking under the sink, but it's gross looking and I'm not ready to replace it yet.This mat is a very good fix in the meantime. It covers the old damage and protects against any new spills or leaks. The edges provide a barrier from any liquid leaking around/ under the mat too. It was clean and did not have any odor to it, and fit my space well. I was able to easily make a slit to go around the pipes under the sink with regular scissors for a perfect fit. The material is nice and thick, and looks so much better than my damaged cabinet floor. This was a good find.
