I've melted enough of those white plastic pressing screen "cloths" to know they can ruin your clothes and gunk up your iron terribly. When researching what people used to use before manufacturers started selling garbage, I learned those are actually a poor imitation of good old-fashioned silk organza, a very sheer fabric (like window sheers) that can tolerate higher temperatures. This cloth is fairly large, so I often use it doubled over because it's so big and the iron still shoots steam through it easily. I removed one star because the edge is pinked and unfinished, so it sheds some short fibers for which I needed a very sticky lint roller. Hopefully that will decrease with time; if not, I may consider seaming the edges. Otherwise, I'm thrilled to stop worrying about melting plastic onto my pants!
