Laid out in the sun for 2 days in a row and charged my device by 5%. Where I intend to install it, it will receive a maximum of 5 hours of direct sunlight. That would be nice, but the cable is too short for me to put it where it needs to be exposed the most. It's now mid-July, in winter it would be practically useless. Just not strong enough. Make cables AT LEAST 25 feet. I'm adding an update to my review as I noticed about a week into the return process that my doorbell battery level had dropped from 45% to 80% and I hadn't even left the solar panel under direct sunlight for a long time. At times it was just in a rocking chair on my porch. I don't know if this thing takes multiple charge cycles or something, but I installed it at my home and the battery hasn't dropped below 97%. I will keep it, would like to have the cable longer and am curious how it will hold up in winter. But for $32 I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
