Works great Just don't do it
The smell lingers for a long time although not very strong, you still won't smell your trash. BUT do not stick it on the lid of the trash can. I made the mistake of trying to find the best place for it, so I kept peeling it off and replacing it elsewhere. When I decided to leave it on the inside of the garage door, it eventually fell in the trash and I couldn't find it. Everything was great when I put it in the side of the bin. I should have left it alone.
