Review on Roland V 1HD HD Video Switcher by Tyrone Narvaez

This switcher exceeds my expectations. I am very happy that it has a built in scaler so it accepts different inputs without any adjustments. In most cases I have four (4) camcorders connected via one HDMI source, and in some cases where I want to overlay the bottom third or title over the video I have three (3) camcorders and a Samsung laptop connected. I'm switching from camcorder to live camcorder and recording live events through Atomos Ninja Flame, I usually set the HDMI output to 1080p on the switcher. This is a very good device to start with until you can afford to upgrade your production. Roland's latest switcher is the Roland V-600 UHD 4K switcher (Roland's first 4K switcher is an 8-channel switcher with 2 SDI inputs, 2 other images for graphics and logo and 4 HDMI sources or one of the sources that can be changed to VGA).
