This is a REALLY solid bracket that I'm currently using on the Optoma HD37 project (and hope to use it with a bigger/newer one soon !). Fiddle with the mounting arms to balance it properly, but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. with a mount as they are "protective" keys with a hole in the middle, which aligns with a pin in the middle of some of the bracket's adjustment screws.I set it up a little differently than I've seen elsewhere when I hung the projector in an alcove behind the wall of the room I was projecting into I used a standard corner piece from a hardware store (a material commonly used for hanging roller shutter doors) and bolted the projector mount to it.I also used a very short 1" x 2" Bought NPT pipe nipple to use as a fitting. or a vertical bar, as the manufacturer doesn't have many options for tubes of other lengths. Using regular NPT tube means you can't screw it in deep (mine was about 3/8-1/2 on both ends). In any case, it's a good solid mount with enough adjustability to get me centering the projector properly in the wall cutout; which required a bit more precision than I expected :)
