Review on 🦍 Enhance Audio & Avoid Vibrations with Bigfoot Isolation Feet - Non Adhesive - 8 Pack by Yung Kaelin

The walls no longer vibrate

I prefer Hudson hi-fi pads to Sorbotane pads for their higher vibration dampening and durability. Although Hudson caters to turntable and CD player users, I have repurposed Hudson products to isolate the speakers and subwoofer. I've never tried my racks without shims, but inserted the shims first. I think they add aesthetics but I can't tell how they changed the sound compared to no pads or just pads. However, I knew the time before the submarine used Hudson's legs. The subwoofer danced and made a humming sound as it vibrated on the wooden floor. The original legs had wood screws holding plastic legs with some soft shoe material. In the foot there was a thread for spikes. Instead of trying to size the threads and buy spikes and spikes, I took the cheaper route by replacing the legs with a Hudson Bigfoot. As a result, my walls and wooden floor barely resonate. Now I have to rely on my ears clapping to tell if the volume is too loud. Pretty crazy. The only downside to using Bigfoot for footpegs was the fact that Bigfoot didn't come with glue like the Hudson Hemisphere. And I haven't applied any glue yet. However, the sub stays in place and the legs don't move underneath. Repositioning the sub would be easier if legs were attached, but the current situation is pretty much the same as repositioning with spikes and spiked shoes. For ease of movement, Sorbotane, SVS SoundPath, or Auralex SubDude might be the best options for extra legs. For my purposes, Bigfoot was cheap and effective.
