Oh my god! I just had back surgery and needed a remote control for the basic functions of an Insignia TV that my friend had for years without a remote control. Sure, I have a fire stick and I've only been using my TV app, but I had to keep pacing up and down in the middle of the night to adjust the volume or turn it on and off. This remote just arrived in the mail. I put batteries in and it didn't work. Then I realized that I had put in used batteries. As soon as I put in new working batteries and used the up and down buttons on the remote, BOOM IT WORKS! Wonder! No code or anything else required! It works automatically with working batteries!
