It's better than lugging a box of jam on a plane

I'm going back to California in a few months and I wanted to take a lot of music from my large collection with me. I also didn't want to lug around a box of jam and limit myself to a flash drive with poor readability of the menu. This lightweight device looked like it would fill the bill. I also planned to use good headphones that cost more than this device. One DVD contains 80 hours of handpicked music from my extensive collection. (I still buy CDs and rip them to MP3). After finally getting familiar with all the buttons, the DVD menu is much better than the jambox. However, only the first 20 characters are displayed for each title, that's a little nitpick. The speaker that comes with it is a joke. but this good pair of headphones more than makes up for it. Comes with headphones which I don't use. The lithium battery lasts five hours before needing a recharge, but I have no idea if the headphones drain the battery faster. For those who live in very hot climates, it's only rated at 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Forget taking it to the beach! It kept going back to the last song played after turning it on, but with the setup menu this can be avoided. I was also concerned that it wouldn't automatically skip to the next track every time, but it works well. It has a USB port which is great for music if the folders are named correctly. If anyone wants if the top folder was a genre and the next folder was an artist, then all the albums on the third level would each be a folder. It also has an SD card reader, which I don't use. It can be connected to a big screen TV, which I don't need either. It has a lot of features that I won't need, but for the price you can't beat it. I can even bury it in between my checked bags to protect it and reduce the amount of stuff I have to take on the plane. but for the price it can't be beat.
