I used it to help me climb into my "sleeping tent" which is on top of my bed. Worked well until it broke. I only weigh 91 kg. My bed is on a low-pile carpet. The instructions don't say not to use it on a carpet. I am assuming that low pile carpets count as "unstable surfaces"? Very disappointed.
