My son is 4 years old but is on the 80% rate in weight and 50% in height. He is more like a husky 5/6 in the waist.I was so happy to see good leg room and was not tight.Not to tight, not to loose:-)He used them right out the bag the day we got them and he also wore the S/M good-nite just in case. I thought maybe it might help with him feeling the wetness more with these underwear then would wake to potty but still have some kind of protection from wetting the bed. He soaked through both and had wet clothes.The padding does not go high enough for the front and back like the good-nites. So it does not give enough wetness protection.Not at all for night use but maybe for nap time if he gets into Pre-K. So far using them over his good-nites for more wetness protection.Hang to dry because they will shrink. One is too tight after I forgot to hang it from the wash and put it in the dryer.I will be looking for another company to find the right underwear for sleep.
