My wife uses this timer all the time in the kitchen for cooking and baking. The only downside, and even a small one, is that this device doesn't have a clock. It does an excellent job of timing and countdown, but doesn't tell you what time it is in general. It's okay, but you think it would be standard to show the time if not used as a timer. In addition, the function keys are clear and easy to use, and using the device is quite intuitive. My wife hates reading instructions and has had no problems with this timer.
