I definitely had a steep learning curve with this substance, but after a failed first attempt I did a little research and found that either my body was too hot or the temperature in the room was too high because the stuff was getting just went from almost solid to sticky after working with it for maybe 15-20 seconds. /c to a low 68-69 degrees Fahrenheit and turn on the fan in the area I wanted to sweeten. I applied the powder to the areas I wanted to treat and rubbed the paste in my hands to make it smoother, then applied it to the hairy area against the direction of growth and added a little sugar to smooth the streak and close lengthen and get a little excess at one end so you can pull; Proper rotation of the wrist during the pull was definitely the key to a good snatch that didn't rip the hair, but a clean snatch that also pulled at the root of the hair. Then just repeat until I've touched every area I wanted to rid of hair. I had my legs, forearms, forearms and tops of my feet and some areas in the lower areas, a small part of this area had to be left alone as it's too sensitive an area to walk with this stuff (at least for me) . Applying witch hazel immediately after treating the area will help reduce ingrown hairs or infections. And azulene oil definitely helps reduce redness and hair definitely grows back slowly and becomes thinner and less noticeable. I couldn't get 100% of the hair but probably 98% and everything else I could finish with tweezers or an epilator. Be careful though, it takes a while for your skin to get used to it. (don't overdo it the first time, and if you've done this area twice in a row and there is still hair left, next time leave it on) as I had severe redness after the first time, but a few times after that, I was perfect, no ingrown hairs, no pimples or infected follicles, no red spots, just smooth skin. Sugar scrubs in the shower on the following days would also be my recommendation, in addition to the scrub after the witch hazel and then the ash oil. In terms of pain, it's about what you'd expect if you're pulling out a lot of hairs at once, and I probably have an above-average pain tolerance, but I definitely prefer to be hairy every few weeks, but that's personal preference and now my hair isn't as thick as it used to be so it's not that bad (but this first time needs some mental toughness) All in all I needed something more natural than waxing but longer lasting than shaving, and the bristles are just uncomfortable and unsightly, so I found my solution between this and the epilator.
