Do not trust the reviews about the size
First I bought a large, knowing what I am. medium (size 8); but based on the many reviews that the skirt runs small, I decided to trust the reviews. Reviews usually lead in the right direction, but not in this case. When I received the beautiful skirt, it fell on my hips as I was putting it on. Luckily, the creator of the shipment, Boot Barn's Spvr., Gube, worked with me and I received a medium that was perfect for me, just in time for my volunteer service at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodoe. Kudos to GABE with Boot Barn Online!
