Really great, not exactly to the second of course, but perfectly acceptable for our purposes of telling time to kids, like timeouts, laps in video games. , reading time, etc. One problem with the 30 minute timer is that the hole the sand flows through is so small that there must be some odd shaped or large grains in there as it almost always "gets stuck" by the sand remains". stops flowing before the timer ends and won't flow again until you touch or shake it. Otherwise they are of decent quality for the price. It seems that this is real glass and the sand is beautiful. The plastic end caps are glued on with a small amount of flexible glue such as hot glue and may come loose with rough handling. Large numbers are displayed on both the top and bottom of the glass, allowing you to determine what time the timer shows depending on the orientation of the glass.
