Just bought these to attach to my motorcycle jacket. My ventilated summer jacket is very light and does not sit on the waist when driving on the highway. So I connected a couple of these, tied them together and clipped them to the bottom of the jacket and the other clip to the jean pocket. Do this on both sides and the jacket will stay in place no matter how fast I drive. Simple and works great. Quality is what you expect (cheap) so don't expect them to last. I think it will depend on how much abuse they get, which isn't much, if any.
