I love this meat thermometer! It doesn't have an on/off switch, but it does glow when opened. As soon as you open it, it starts measuring the ambient temperature, which is nice. It is very responsive and measures the temperature quickly. I also like the handy reference chart on the box. I've wanted a meat thermometer for a long time to make sure my food is in the safe range and this is a great option!
