I first bought some of these for my grandkids and the scissors are perfect for them. Good sharp cutting edge with no lethal edge and easy to use for small hands. But then it occurred to me that those are decent scissors and that adults should have a pair of scissors in every room in addition to a pair of large scissors. So I bought more for myself! My only caveat is the clear plastic flap in the center of the tool for kids to write their names on. On one of several items I have purchased the valve rebounded and stayed perpendicular to the body of the scissors and would not re-close. I ended up cutting it off and discarding the sharp edge of the plastic scraps. It's better not to have this thing at all. When kids need to identify their scissors, they can just stick a piece of tape on them and write their name with a magic marker.
