I bought this to use with an Android tablet (works with multiple phones too). Pros: 1. Works as advertised. It gets a little warm when it's in use, but the manufacturer told me that's normal for a device like this. (heat dissipation).2. Indicator lights on the device help you to know whether it is connected to the internet or not.3. Excellent customer service. answer questions promptly. Cons: None. I've been using it for over 6 months and still have no problems. How to use this adapter: 1. Works well with Windows tablets (not used with RT but with the full version of Windows).2. It's designed to work with Android devices - (a) the device has an OTG port (i.e. USB host) and (b) the manufacturer has Ethernet drivers installed. If the device only has an OTG port but no Ethernet drivers, it will not connect. (A) Tablets that support Ethernet connection: 1. Asus Zenpad S 8-inch tablet.2. Lenovo A10 (latest 10 inch tablet).3. Samsung Tab 4 (8 inch version, 10 inch version and 12 inch version, but the 7 inch version doesn't support it).4. Samsung 8.45 tab. Samsung Tab Series A.6. Samsung Tab Series P.7. Nexus 7 inch 1st generation on Android 4.48. Nexus 9 inch Tablet(B) phones that support this adapter:1. Motorola G 1st Gen, 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen.2. Motorola X 1st Gen, 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen.3. Nvidia 1st and 2nd generation Android tablets. Examples of devices that have an OTG port but do not support Ethernet because there are no Ethernet drives are: Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, S6 ( actually most Samsung phones), Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Redmi 2 , Chromecast .The following brands of phones are not supported -1. Phones LG2. Samsung phones 3. Xiaomi phones 4. Phones ZTE5. HTC6 phones. Acer phones. Huawei phones8. Windows 8.1 phones and newer Windows 10 phones - Lumia 550.9. Nexus DevicesUpdateMarshmallow introduced USB Ethernet in developer options. However, Samsung, LG and HTC phones running Android 6.0 still do not support this adapter. We hope that the review will be useful for those who plan to buy this adapter for an Android device. Update: Samsung S8/S8 Plus phones have Ethernet settings in settings menu and it works with Type-C to Ethernet adapter. Update (25 Aug 2017): Works with Lenovo Phab 2. Works with Moto G 5th Gen.
