I used this to soak a Pendleton rug and a ten year old sheepskin (separately) that have both never been cleaned (never do this to yourself - the amount of dirt a Pendleton rug can hold without showing it just awful.As both items were large, thick and very absorbent I spent a little more on both than washing sweaters or delicate fabrics.Doubly glad I didn't have to worry about if I rinsed well no rinse thank goodness although Pendleton, whose base color is fuchsia, was bleeding *everywhere* Pendleton "fixed" it by soaking it in vinegar for 30 minutes, then emptying the tub and putting it back in carded brush soaked in this solution after drying), and Pendleton is actually much softer than ever. The smell on the Pendleton dissipated a week and a half after this big production, but the sheepskin still smells quite strongly of it.
