Review on Mizuno Tc-01 Women's Cross Training Shoe by Sherrill Jensen

Comfortable: Athletic

I'm actually wearing these shoes right now. They are quite comfortable but I deducted 1 star for the following two reasons: 1- if you walk a lot on gravel (I walk) then the sole is a bit thin; 2-Due to the "socks" design, they are difficult to put on (actually, I use my dad's old shoehorn to put them on). However, once I put them on they are very comfortable and the flat sole construction means they won't leave a mark in a lot of dirt. As I mentioned earlier, they have a "toe" design, meaning the tongue is just a part of the shoe's upper. This design has both good and bad. The good thing is that it keeps mud out and is actually more comfortable if you are prone to blisters as there is one less "moving part" to rub against your foot. The bad news is that it's a little harder to get the shoe on since the shoe doesn't open up like it does with a loose tongue. It also means you can easily remove the laces if you wish. I have - they don't really serve me a purpose and I don't want to tighten the shoe up any more than it already is. But you can use the laces to make it really tight if you want to do it for specific training situations. Luckily, even though they're black, they're not that hot so I'm comfortable wearing them now during the hottest months. Summer. I wear them often - not only for training - and they have done me good so far. There isn't much internal support though, so if you're having trouble with the bow this might be something to consider.
