I had my previous Water Sentinel for one 1 yr before my indicator light came on my refrigerator. I installed the new filter and after a few weeks I started noticing my ice cubes were black! My first thought was mold! But after some research I found out that it was carbon from the water filter. The carbon o read about is harmless, after a few full cycles of ice making the ice cubes look normal again. I never seen "Black Water" dispensed from the eater selection on my refrigerator just the ice maker. After this one incident I have had zero problems!
