This is more of a lap table than a tray table. I think that's where most of the comments "how can they sell this as a table?" come from. The dimensions are clearly marked. For me, the height is what I wanted. But here's a suggestion: use the published measurements to actually measure your furniture and find out how high it will be from your floor before you order. For me this is exactly what I wanted. It's also fairly solid, boxy (not warped or wobbly) and well built.
