I bought these to detangle some of my dreadlocks - after using a few of these the prongs started breaking about halfway through. Sure, I put the comb through an absolute torture and it's lasted a little longer than the BSS combs I've bought in the past, but it's not indestructible. I have a Dasha brand comb, which I have had for many years - I have used it for the same purposes and, apart from the fact that the teeth are bent at the tips, I have not lost a single one. I'm looking for a backup in case I lose my old backup. Until I found her. This comb is probably suitable for those who do not need it for intensive combing.
