I have several 100% silk sheets and love their softness against my skin. However, as I get closer to my period, I get anxious. Silk sheets are notorious for being difficult to wash, and you can ruin these $$$$ sheets if you wash them incorrectly. I've had cotton/bamboo sheets that I replaced just in case, but the transition from silk to cotton has never been so comfortable. So I started looking for alternatives and I can tell you these sheets are AWESOME. Granted, they're not as smooth and soft as silk, but they're a damn close second. Just slip into bed and feel nice and cool - ideal for the summer months. I love the feel of these sheets against my skin. I really recommend these instead of satin sheets. Although satin has the consistency of silk, it is malleable. At least the ones I bought, after a few months some of the edges started curling up like lint and it didn't feel as smooth anymore. I actually waited 6 months before deciding to review this bamboo sheet set and I don't regret the purchase at all. I highly recommend and love it. And unlike silk scarves, I don't feel bad recommending it as I think it's worth the price. Silk is fine if you can afford it, but it's a waste of money. And you have to hand wash and air dry or risk ruining a $1,000 sheet with a machine. Unlike a bamboo leaf you just toss, machine wash and dry like clothes.
