There is a metal ball on top of the lever that attaches to the tablet clip. It arrived on my device with a loose metal ball. This meant the tablet could rotate a few degrees clockwise or counterclockwise. I removed the tablet clamp and tightened the Allen screw and the stand has been fine ever since. I've used it with large phones and tablets and it really improves the usability of a small display on a table.
