Laptop on an old platform without HDMI. It was necessary to connect the laptop to the TV using the VGA-HDMI scheme. I bought with caution, but it turned out that everything is really simple. Connected the first time. Didn't get hot in 3 hours. There is only one significant drawback so far for me: a short audio cord and it simply did not reach the connector. It is not removable, so it will not work to change (only if soldering). Fortunately, there was an external sound card in the bins and I had to take an extra USB. Everything else (well, yes, there are a lot of wires in the end) is not critical. Satisfied with the purchase! For those who read the review: when connecting HDMI-VGA WILL NOT work !
