Material A1. Ideal. Not an iron derivative, but real steel, heat treated to perfect hardness. Very solid tools, the fittings were well made and fitted perfectly. The inserts could have been made with a slightly smaller nose radius for the type of machining I do. I would have preferred a plate that cuts better rather than having a superior hardness that wears away material (as it has). I am very pleased with these tools and I find that they were a little cheaper in price than they were. Well done.
