Hard to see in the photo, so zoom in, when I took the power pack out of the packaging, the screw was loose on the inside. Luckily I heard it rattle and was able to take it to the fan cowl to see it. This could easily explain why other people have experienced catastrophic failures, fires and component damage. It's probably the screw on the inside that wasn't glued and fell out in shipping. or not installed at all. No matter which company Gigabyte buys these power supplies, better quality control is required. or just poke a damn screw. I cut open the fan cover and removed the screw, the power supply works fine for now. I will update if that changes.
