The 8.5 inch U-lock from SeatyLock gets the job done when I need to secure my electric kick scooter while running errands or whatever. I have a Yadea KS5 scooter which is a little larger than Lime or Byrd scooters, and the 8.5 inch size fits just as long as I get the scooter right up next to whatever I'm securing it too. If I were to buy the lock again, I would definitely get the next size up, 11.5 inches to make it easier to find suitable places to secure my scooter to since the 8.5 in size is a pretty tight fit.The lock itself feels solid, with rubberized areas of the otherwise metal lock to protect your ride from getting scratched or banged up. The lock mechanism works well, with 3 keys included along with the lock itself. Key slot is easy to find and fit the key into without any issues or frustrations.Given its size, its understandably on the heavier side, but I just stick the lock in my backpack while riding and don't feel bothered by the size or weight at all, which was my main concern and primary reason behind why I opted for the 8.5 inch size over the larger and heftier 11.5 inch lock size.Price is inline with competitor's offerings, and while nothing is absolutely secure, it would take a pretty determined thief equipped with some heavy duty tools and/or a highly specified skill set in order to get this lock off.I use this lock regularly (along with a disc brake lock) when running errands on my scooter, and trust it to keep my scooter safe - if that's not a raging endorsement than I don't what is!
