We use our baskets to store everything from cosmetics to pet toys, remote controls and picnic supplies. I have one in the car to hold my sunglasses, extra masks, wipes, etc. We have one on the door for sunscreen and bug spray in the summer and hats and gloves in the winter. We use them to store/organize craft supplies, snacks, laundry supplies, office supplies like pens and tape, charging cables and bricks to keep closets organized and anything else we need. I love putting some of my bullet journaling supplies in one of these baskets to take outside on a quiet day. One is packed with snacks, napkins, plastic cutlery and the like for car trips. This is a great way to give someone a multi-item gift and spend some time customizing this basket for them. We've probably bought several dozen over the years. Why do we love these soft rope storage baskets so much? They are incredibly durable. Some of the ones we use are over 15 years old, but you have to look very closely to see wear and tear. Plastic often yellows with age and becomes brittle or can warp. If one of these rope baskets gets dirty, it's just sent to the laundry. We've had to replace maybe half a dozen over the years because of stains that won't come out and one day our GSD pup threw his toy out of one of those rope baskets and destroyed it. Lint or lint that forms on the outside of the basket after washing can be easily removed with a cloth razor. A good stain treatment removes most stains. Be sure to remove the T-divider before washing as it is made of fabric-covered cardboard. Wash on gentle cycle and tumble dry on lowest setting or air dry and basket is ready to use again. Depending on the room they are used in, I have added decorations such as glue patches or lettering to some of these rope baskets on the outside. You can also make decorative embroidery for a personalized gift. Depending on the size, some of these soft rope storage baskets range in price from $13 to $20 each. Plastic buckets might be a cheaper option, but not if you want a bucket with a secure-fitting, usually airtight, lid or even handles. Before recently ordering more of these rope baskets, I was evaluating comparable sized plastic storage bins and was unwilling to see how much the cost of plain and simple plastic storage bins had risen. The plastic bins I needed were just as expensive as the rope ones!
