Not wireless, must remain connected to a USB power source (motion tracking)

I love that this motion tracker uses standard camera tripod mounts, so I can use it with an action camera or a small mirrorless camera in addition to using it on my smartphone. Unfortunately, this thing didn't have batteries and I had to keep it plugged into a USB power source to keep it working. Thankfully, the power connector is on the part of the base that doesn't pivot, so the cables don't work The electronic eye does reasonably well when initially pointed at your face (face movement is close), tends to work better than when You start it remotely (in this case it doesn't know "what to track"). incredibly light and made quite brittle so I have to be careful not to damage it with too much payload (the weight of a big phone is probably the safe limit). Given the price, I got what I paid for with this product. I would buy it again just because of the novelty of the item. Best of all, it doesn't require an app on my phone; I hate adding crappy software that only does one small thing and then I keep worrying if that software is stealing data from my phone or damaging it in some way. It only uses the built-in electronic eye, so it's perfectly safe for me. I've uploaded a short demo video along with some close-up shots of the device. If any part of this review was USEFUL, could you click the button? Thanks very much!

Why this tracking unit...? That's what I asked myself, as I gave it 3 stars...
