Review on 🧵 DMC HF4462-5200 Cotton Monk's Aida Cloth, 2.5-Yard, Natural, 7 Count: Premium Quality Fabric for Cross Stitching and Embroidery Projects by Barbara Simmons

I did my homework before purchasing this fabric - and I'm so glad I did! Before washing, "prep” the fabric with a straight or zigzag stitch along the edges. While it's a very open and loose weave, I haven't found it to have any more (or fewer) imperfections than other fabrics. In three weeks I woven a table runner and three cushion covers. The project will likely be an Afghan baby. This fabric is LOOOOOOOOOOOOO quick and (depending on the pattern you choose) pretty easy, especially if you're familiar with counted cross stitches. In terms of quality, I compared this DMC to the monastery cloth. worn to tie at Joann. Enormous difference in quality! It's cheaper and the reason is very obvious: it's a horrible, HORRIBLE stuff! One last note (and the reason for the 4 stars): This item is MUCH cheaper at Jo-Anne.
