I bought two boxes of these filters - one for home and one for work - and had the same problem with every batch. Filters fail from below. Some filters seem to be brittle when folded, so I tried different methods to limit damage to the folded area. I folded them neatly along the sides and bottom right edge of the crimp as instructed. I folded them about 1/8" from the creases. I wet the filter before folding them. I even tried not to fold them. Every time I tried, the filter failed about 2/3 of the time. One problem , which I have encountered with filters from other brands.Not recommended.
