These are about 3/4" shorter than my last set and it surely makes a difference. It makes a difference while using and storing. I have a lot of tools and didn't even try to use the tiny holder that came with this set; however, the shorter length makes a difference in the already tight space that I had. I had to take out 2 items so I didn't have to wrestle getting things in and out easy, so keep that in mind if you have other implements along with this set. Maybe because these tools are at their widest point and hit the other tools. IDK. I do not find these to be as well balanced in my hand and you can definitely feel the heat a little more when cooking, especially in deep stock pots or high heat items. The spatulas are not as sturdy as I would like. They are too flexible. As with most silicone spatulas they are not the best for more delicate items or being able to get under really thin foods easily, but these are not as bad as some that I have used. I do throw these in the dishwasher regularly and have done so a maybe 50-60 times so far for most of them. Only 1 is showing a little rust stain and that actually came on quite early. It has not worsened. The silicone nib and hanger on the end would of had me sending them right back if I was planning on hanging them, as I usually do. I figure this set will last a few years at best then need replacing. compared to my last set of more than 15 yrs that only had to be replaced do to a fire. These would have been sent back, if they had not been an exact color match to many of my other items they were being housed with.
