The suction power is actually quite good on high settings, passable on low. The bin fills up quickly, but I've always felt that the larger vacuums I've made have done the same. When you have cats, there is no basket big enough! What strikes me is that it's so light and easy to use and you can leave it anywhere so you end up cleaning up more often. This makes the job easier than deploying a monster once a week. Our main room measures 31 x 31 so you don't need to hook it up to your regular vacuum in multiple locations - this cordless vacuum solves that problem. I don't do a lot of reviews unless I really dislike something or really like it so I wanted to add my 2 cents this is a pretty cool little vacuum cleaner.
