If you are buying this to replace an existing door lock on your Ford or any other vehicle it cannot be recoded and you cannot swap out parts. Contact your dealer and purchase an OEM door lock kit. The kit includes everything you need to rekey and match your existing key. It costs around 75.00-90.00 but is the best way and really the only way to replace or fix a broken lock. You can do it yourself if you are inclined or handy. This information was given to me by a professional locksmith who shared his knowledge. It cost me my education, but maybe it'll save you trouble. If the lock was destroyed, you need to make a bezel. If anyone knows of a larger faceplate that can be purchased please let me know. I should have made it out of aluminum.
