Firstly please note that this top is basically a crop top with sheer white material underneath. I understand that everyone understandably has different preferences for their children, so this is an important thing to keep in mind. I think the high rise shorts look great underneath. Although my daughter is a bit petite, that's probably part of it. A white tank top also looks great underneath. My 11 year old wears mostly medium sized tops. They fit perfectly and don't stick anywhere. This is how this top fits her - it will probably fit her for a while. So I would say this top is true to size. It's breathable and lightweight for her. I am satisfied with the quality of the top. We've never had clothes from this brand for her so hopefully it will last a while. Beautiful necklace, can be removed or worn separately. Overall it's such a cute top that it fits her well and she says it's comfortable to wear!
