I made some tests. This is not effective on some cell phones but may be effective on others. It's not effective at stopping Roku or Apple TV remotes (not that you need it, but I thought it would be a good test), and Fitbit passes, too. But it works for my intended purpose of storing car keys overnight when people use the keyless entry feature and signal booster to break into cars in my city. I checked the keychains for me and my wife, everything works.
