Good quality - does not support GB ethernet on Macbook Air M1

Very reliable good quality hub which I have always thought of as Anker products. All ports work except Gigabit Ethernet is not supported for my Macbook Air. 2020 (M1 chip). Anker's support said this is an Apple issue with their new M1 chip and that none of the adapters support this feature. This hub also connects to both Thunderbolt USB-C ports, leaving no room for anything else to plug in if I want to. I returned this hub and actually found a hub that supports gigabit ethernet and only connects to one of the Macbook's ports while leaving the other available.
