I love Bluemaan's Monarch Matte Paste. It's very creamy, very easy to apply, applies even more easily, no tugging or tugging (applies to towel dried hair), is easy to style, has great texture, decent hold and a matte/natural finish. Side. It can also be rinsed out without any problems. About a fragrance that seems to get a lot of negative reviews. I really like it and I was worried because of the reviews. It's a fresh herbal scent with a light floral touch and definitely unique as it's unisex. While the scent is light and you can feel a whiff of it after applying it to your hair, it's nowhere near overpowering or as strong as others claim. I have short, wavy, coarse, thick hair. I pre-style with Aveda Thickening Toner and apply this mattifying paste to towel dried hair and style in place. also very good. I recommend!
