Very happy with this product! After learning about the devastating effects of plastic pollution and reflecting on my own plastic footprint, I decided to reduce my plastic consumption - the number of containers, plastic packaging for leftover groceries at home and other products I use. That's when I discovered Brooklyn Bento's clean new product, stainless steel bowls with silicone lids. This is a four piece set with lids made from 100% LFGB certified silicone meaning it is safe for human food contact use. I did a little research and read that silicone products sold in Germany and France have to comply with LFGB regulations, which are stricter than US standards. Great Brooklyn bento! I keep my leftovers in these containers in the fridge, which saves me from tin foil, cling film and ziplock bags. An added bonus is that the containers are airtight and the largest is ideal for storing leftover soup. Plastic tends to hold more bacteria, while stainless steel is more resistant to harmful contaminants. I even use these containers when I want to take out food or take leftovers home from a restaurant. I just ask the waiter to use my stainless steel container instead of the disposable one!
