Not bad when mechanically inclined.

Hi, I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado (new body style) LTZ and I'm pretty picky about what I buy for work. Let me start with this: if I wasn't a full-time mechanic and didn't have access to all the wiring diagrams of the car I put them in, I probably would have given up trying to get everything to work. Well here is how I did it. I have attached a schematic where you can see I installed 3 separate relays to have full control of these mirrors. The attached diagram shows how it is connected and everything works as it should. If you want your mirrors to perform to their full potential, you'll need some relays. three to be precise. You'll notice that there are only two relays in the diagram above, but since the driver's side and passenger's side mirrors have the same wire colors, just duplicate the driver's side. To understand a little about the circuit I created, the cable says "CONNECT" then you just nudge it, keeping the factory connection but also adding the cable to a decent spot on the circuit. If the wire says "CUT" then cut the existing circuit and reroute the wires. to respectable places. Not sure if other years were truly plug and play, but plugging in my new out of the box mirrors just gave me control of the 4-way motor controls and a rear-facing turn signal. The front turn signal tried to work but didn't have enough power to complete the full "serial" outer sequence. Also attached is the company's actual schematic, after I asked them and told them the one provided didn't matter. even remotely alongside the existing wires. Much luck!
