Advantages: Excellent ergonomics of the palm of the handle, Excellent center of balance. Very light construction. Disadvantages: Short shoulder shaft! and the point at which it attaches to the shoulder pad prevents you from tightening it, allowing you to unscrew it while shooting. Not enough padding out of the box, but you can add a piece of black foam or shearling if you'd like. The entire unit, including the matte box assembly, is well made and we only have 4 of these. We use them to film paranormal activity. TV show and they work fine except the shoulder pads aren't tight enough so we used a pair of Vise Grip and really tightened them up! a 5 minus the disadvantages mentioned above. We mounted the IR light just above the handlebars (and attached it with the follow focus mount to the top of the carry handle for 2 more high power LED arrays). It works very well for any type of lighting required when using this rig support system. We then mounted Talentcell's high capacity 6000mAh rechargeable battery (available from Revain) just above the shoulder strap and removed the counterweight to provide portable power for 4 independent IR and white LED lights. If you don't use it while filming with a 4K movie camera, keep it in a safe place. It is a good focus tracking device with very smooth operation which is worth mentioning here.
