I have had an Air-water-life water ionizer since July 2018 and have a lot of experience with the Aqua Beauty 5.0 water system which I find to be their cheapest and most economical model. I wanted something affordable but effective—and I wanted it to produce great-tasting alkaline water, which is what my mother-in-law urged me to do after she bought a Korean-brand alkaline water machine for $3,000. At first I was skeptical about alkaline water and decided against buying it because of the high costs! After drinking their water during a visit to their Sacramento home and experiencing the hydration, smoother "flat" taste, and overall wellness that comes with being able to drink more water, I was blown away. The Aqua Beauty 5.0 seemed like a good compromise between cost and purpose. So I walked out and didn't look back. The machine seemed to produce great tasting water for several years, the pH was very good initially when I bought the machine and then maybe 6 months ago the taste started to deteriorate even though I changed the filter and after checking the pH After checking the value, I noticed it hadn't changed after walking around the machine! The pH value at the outlet of the machine and at the outlet of the ionizer (where acidic water should drain) was exactly the same and corresponded to the spring water (6.5-7 when using more sensitive pH indicator drops). I've confirmed the readings with two different pH test solutions, one of which was less accurate (not showing as much color change as the other), but again there wasn't a relative difference, which tells me something is wrong with the machines. Operation! I immediately contacted Mason Hendrix from Air-water-life and he was very supportive of my request. He suggested I send the unit back to him for free (just pay shipping) and he would make sure I got a working unit quickly. And that's exactly what he did! I FedEx the unit and a few days later received another unit (still the same model or a slightly different model than what I originally bought). When I received it, I was surprised to receive an extra descaling kit, a new pH test kit, a replacement filter, a new water hose, a new faucet bracket and a new instruction manual! I used a pH test kit to ensure the device was working effectively. - it now produces alkaline water at high levels (7-10) and at the exit (4-5) depending on the setting, which confirms for me that it works! (I also tested with my other pH test solution). I am once again very happy with the taste of my water and am still the proud owner of an inexpensive and excellent machine that I hope will continue to produce great tasting alkaline water for many years to come! Even if not, I'm glad to know that Air-water-life is just an email or phone call to help me get my car running again. ** Small update from 13.07. 20**I've added some pictures of my alkaline machine configuration so people can see how I installed it. I went with the simplest solution and didn't mount the unit under the sink or on the wall - instead I used the simple faucet diverter provided and connected the inlet and outlet flow tubes (with the outlet being indicated by a small red dot sticker). ) . Also, for my most recent installation, I installed an Aqua Crest built-in refrigerator filter available for the Revain AQ5KDC model. The beauty is that the hose connects instantly with no inlet and outlet fittings. Filter. As a result of PPM testing, I found that an alkaline machine equipped with its own built-in activated carbon filter does not reduce the PPM of the source water, and Air-water-life told me not to expect the unit's design. Revolution. Before installing the Aqua Crest I was getting 215 PPM raw water at the inlet of the car and the same at the outlet of the ionizer. After installing Aqua Crest I am now getting 20-50 PPM from the ionizer! (back in 200s from spring water). Remember this is an activated carbon filter similar in design to the ionizer but much larger and more efficient (should last around 1 year with normal use). With this filter you also have the option of installing it under the sink if you buy it with the hoses included (assuming you have the standard fittings/connections. With this installation I get great tasting water and a very effective alkalinization that I keep testing regularly) with pH drops.
